Kyle Patrick Johnson attended a small liberal arts college in Ohio where he studied Liberal Arts on an academic scholarship, graduating magna cum laude. He then graduated cum laude from Palmer College of Chiropractic in Iowa.

While in college, he co-founded a successful band for which he wrote nearly a hundred songs and produced two CDs.

He launched a several-year sustained professional music career, during which he wrote the music for an original musical, VIVA!, based on a true story. After searching vainly for a collaborator to write the screenplay, he crafted it himself after spending months in research.

More recent, mature works: AFTER THE END, a romantic comedy about life after the storybook wedding; THE DREADNAUGHT BOX, an alternate history of one woman scientist's dismantling of the Salem witch trials; THE SEVEN DEATHS OF LIGHTHOUSE, an action film with a character study of an atypical Western hero; PICKING UP THE PEACES, an over-the-top assassination/spy thriller; WIGGLINESS, a family film of redemptive love set in the literal world of childhood.

He has written a variety of short scripts and a 20-page treatment of C.S. Lewis' "Screwtape Letters" as filmed in the present day. He is a member of the MoviePoet.com screenwriter's fellowship where writers critique short works in a public forum.
